Egypt’s national exports make great leap, record $1.197 bln increase

CAIRO – 18 May 2022: The Egyptian national exports have made a great leap in the recent period, with the total value reaching about 4 billion and 118 million dollars last February, compared to 2 billion and 921 million dollars in February 2021, according to the data of the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).

 

The Egyptian national exports recorded about one billion and 197 million dollars increase.

 

According to CAPMAS, the list of national exports included:

 

-       Raw cotton exports: Amounting to a value of 45 million and 468 thousand dollars last February, while it was 23 million and 659 thousand dollars in the same month in 2021, recording an increase of 21 million and 809 thousand dollars.

 

-        Followed by Egypt’s exports of raw materials: With total value amounted to about 358 million and 998 thousand dollars, compared to 324 million and 759 thousand dollars in the same month in 2021, recording an increase of 34 million and 239 thousand dollars.

 

-       Egypt's exports of semi-manufactured goods: Totaled about 796 million and 582 thousand dollars last February, compared to 549 million and 960 thousand dollars in the same month in 2021, recording an increase of 308 million and 769 thousand dollars.

 

-       Egypt’s completed manufactured exports: Its value amounted to about one billion and 755 million dollars last February, compared to one billion and 446 million dollars in the same month in 2021, recording an increase of 308 million and 769 thousand dollars.
