CAIRO - 31 March 2022: Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli said President Abdel Fattah El Sisi issued directives for taking several measures to support the Egyptian bourse.

Madbouli's remarks came at a meeting that he held on Thursday to review the proposed procedures to stimulate the stock exchange and attract foreign investments, in the presence of Finance Minister Mohamed Maait, Deputy Finance Minister for Fiscal Policies Ahmed Kouchouk and Executive Chairman of the Egyptian Exchange Mohamed Farid Saleh, said Cabinet Spokesman Nader Saad.

The premier added that President Sisi instructed the government to swiftly finalize the state ownership policy, which would enable the private sector to make investment decisions based on a better understanding of the state-owned enterprises’ weight in their respective sectors, the spokesman added.
