CAIRO - 31 March 2022: Managing Director of the Intra-African Trade Initiative of Afreximbank Kanayo Awani said that the bank is trying to find ways to establish a link between the private sector and business owners in Egypt and Angola to stand on potential investment opportunities.

Afreximbank always seeks to get trade and investment parties across Africa to join hands, she added.

In statements to journalists, Awani said that the bank organized, in cooperation with the Angolan embassy in Egypt, the Angola-Egypt Investment Roundtable in the presence of 50 Angolan business owners.

This roundtable was organized within the framework of the current visit by Angolan Minister of Foreign Affairs Téte António to Egypt boost trade exchange between the two sides.

Egypt and Angola are interested in promoting economic and political cooperation to attract more investments in some of the Angolan sectors, including oil, gas, agriculture, fish farms, transport, logistics and other sectors, Awani said.
