Natural gas important solution to face climate change problems: Petroleum min.

CAIRO - 22 February 2022: Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Tarek el Molla has asserted that natural gas is one of the most important solutions to the climate changes problems as it provides a clean source of energy with a low level of carbon emissions.

 

In his speech on Tuesday during the extraordinary conference of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum in Qatar, Molla said that the natural gas is the cleanest carbonic fuel, adding that the gas plays a pivotal role in facilitating transformation to clean energy.

 

Molla reiterated the importance of providing finance and technology to support the sustainable use of natural gas.

 

Egypt is looking forward to the success of the international summit on climate change due to be held in it in 2022, Molla said.

 

He asserted the role of the forum in boosting the use of natural gas to facilitate gradual energy transition to curbing emissions.

 

The common aim of the countries participating in the forum is to provide the resources of the natural gas in an eco-friendly way with the least effect on the climate, Molla said.
