CAIRO, Feb 12 (MENA) – Fitch Solutions has forecasted that Egypt’s exports of drugs will go up by 4.7% this year, the Cabinet Information and Decision Support Center (IDSC) said Saturday.

The center published an infographic on Fitch Solutions Outlook for the growth rate in Egypt’s drugs sector, noting that the institution expected that the exports of drugs will increase 5 percent and 5.8 percent in 2023 and 2026 respectively.

Drugs sales in Egypt will increase by 6.6 percent in 2022 and 8.6 in 2026 to hit EGP82.3 billion and 112.6 billion in the relevant periods of time respectively, the foundation added.

In April 2021, Egypt inaugurated the largest factory for medications in the Middle East and North Africa to provide 150 million of 150 types of medications.
