In a statement issued by GAFI on Tuesday, Abdel Wahab asserted GAFI’s keenness on supporting and boosting investment cooperation so that the volume of Belgian investments is up to the depth of bilateral ties.

Abdel Wahab said that the meeting tackled the participation of Belgian companies in projects that serve the increase of export opportunities to Africa.

Both sides discussed means to boost institutional cooperation with the GAFI to follow up and facilitate implementing investments and current and new projects in Egypt and Belgium in addition to solving challenges facing investors and encouraging and increasing investments via intensifying meetings with Belgian companies interested in investing in Egypt.

Meanwhile, Cornet asserted the keenness of his government to activate economic cooperation with Egypt and increase the participation of Belgian companies in Egypt, lauding economic reforms conducted in Egypt recently and the positive results witnessed in the Egyptian economy.
