CAIRO - 23 January 2022: MB for Engineering, in cooperation with Wataniya Petroleum, inaugurated the largest charging station for electric cars in Egypt.

The station's capacity exceeds 330 kilowatt-hours, and it can accommodate 14 cars at the same time, according to the company's statement.

The station that was inaugurated Sunday is the first in a network of stations that will be established at the level of the Republic.

MB for Engineering intends to cover 5 governorates in the Arab Republic of Egypt during the first half of 2022.

The company will apply for an electric charging network operator license, with defining the controls regulating it.

The company is currently working on building an integrated infrastructure system for the station network at the level of the Republic, in addition to the technology systems supporting this network.

The company said that this is part of the state's drive to strengthen the electric car sector with its integrated industry.
