The premier made the remarks during a meeting held on Wednesday with Trade and Industry Minister Nevine Gamea to follow up the status of implementation of the industrial complexes nationwide in the presence of Head of the Industrial Development Authority (IDA) Mohamed Al Zallat.

The industry minister reviewed the key features of a presidential initiative for youth employment, which she described as a development solution that would help stimulate investments and offer opportunity for releasing innovative capacities in addition to its role in securing jobs and boost local manufacturing.

Under the initiative, it is targeted to implement 13 industrial complexes for small and medium industries, including 4,311 industrial units at a total cost of EGP 9.4 billion, Gamea said.

In 2021, seven industrial complexes, grouping 1,751 industrial units have been offered in several governorates, she added.

The minister said that six industrial complexes are set to be offered in the last week of January in Qena, Assiut, Aswan, Fayoum and Behira governorates in various fields.
