CBE: Bank deposits hit LE 6.191 trillion in October

CAIRO - 19 January 2022: The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) on Tuesday announced a remarkable increase in bank deposits by around LE 114 billion at the end of October to reach LE 6.191 trillion against LE 6.077 trillion in September.

 

Total governmental deposits at banks hit LE 1.2 trillion by the end of October, the CBE said in a report, a copy of which was obtained by MENA.

 

Governmental deposits stood at LE 1.059 trillion in local currency, while total non-governmental deposits increased to LE 4.990 trillion.

 

Non-governmental deposits in local currency reached LE 4.324 trillion by the end of October, compared to LE 4.253 trillion in the previous month, the report added.
