Speaking during an event meant to support international trade in light of the current challenges, which was held on the sidelines of an Egyptian pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai, Zaki said work is underway to activate such services and study offers submitted to the SCZone.

Ship catering and marine services are included in the SCZone 2020-2025 strategy, he noted.

He also unveiled planned projects to produce green hydrogen at the SCZone soon, adding that this would coincide with the COP27 conference that will be held in Egypt in November.

The SCZone has been acting to address about 15 industrial and logistics sectors, Zaki said, noting that three contracts had already been signed concerning the petrochemical, rolling stock and green hydrogen industries.

Over the past seven years, Egypt has implemented a number of huge national projects that could secure many investment opportunities, Zaki pointed out.

The SCZone is a promising investment destination that extends over 461 square kilometers and includes four industrial zones, six ports and the Suez Canal, he said.

Zaki added that the SCZone offers many investment incentives to meet demands of all businesspeople.
