The country's exports hit $3.2 billion in the relevant period of 2020, added Barzy in a statement by the council Thursday.

Barzy noted that the exports of June, 2021 are the highest during the period between January and November, 2021, recording $392 million.

He pointed out that Arab countries topped the list of the most important international groups importing processed foods from Egypt. Exports to the Arab markets amounted $ 2.026 billion, representing 54 percent of total food exports during the period from January to November 2021, achieving a growth rate of 18 percent with a value of $310 million, according to him.

The European Union came second on the list with a value of $587 million, with a growth rate of 31 percent, representing 16 percent of total exports, followed by non-Arab African countries with a value of $ 377 million, representing 10 percent of total exports, then the United States of America with a value of $205 million, representing 5 percent of total exports, and the rest of the international groups recorded a value of $576 million, which represents 16 percent of the total Egyptian food exports during the same period.

He noted that the Council is currently working on dynamically adjusting its marketing and promotional policy in line with the updated export data. This is to be done in order to follow up and evaluate the results and solve the obstacles that affect the flow of exports in a focused manner on specific countries and markets, thus ensuring the maximization of export values, he concluded.
