New insurance law to be issued at beginning of 2nd half of 2022

CAIRO - 27 December 2021: Chairman of the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA), Mohamed Omran, expected the issuance of the new insurance law at the beginning of the second half of 2022.

Omran said that the new insurance law is in its final consultations in preparation for its issuance.

The Social Insurance Law sets a minimum insurance contribution of 1200 pounds, which increases annually, in addition to making it possible to register the form “1,2,6” through the authority’s website with a package of unprecedented facilities under the Social Insurance Law for the category of irregular workers.

The law stipulates an annual increase of 15 percent  to LE 2,300 in 2025.
