Honeywell says Egypt one of best-performing markets, looks forward to investing in its gas, oil sectors

CAIRO - 21 December 2021: President and CEO of Honeywell's Global High Growth Regions Shane Tedjaratin said Egypt is one of the best-performing markets in which his company operates, asserting that he is looking forward to expanding its activities in the fields of gas, oil, and refining to be a regional refining hub in the Middle East and Africa.
 
Tedjaratin's remarks came during his meeting on Tuesday with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, Chief Operating Officer High Growth Regions Ben Driggs, President and CEO, Middle East, N Africa, Turkey, and Central Asia at Honeywell Mohammed Mohaisen, ICT Minister Amr Talaat, and US Ambassador in Cairo Jonathan Cohen.
 
Madbouli hailed the cooperation with Honeywell, wishing that the American company would expand its activities in Egypt, offer pivotal contributions to Egypt's future strategic projects in the domains of digital transformation, energy, and smart cities.
 
Talaat, for his turn, lauded the distinguished relations with Honeywell, suggesting stepped up cooperation in the fields of building capacities, supporting tech startups, and sponsoring digital innovation and business incubators.
 
Tedjaratin, for his part, praised the partnership with Egypt, which has witnessed great strides over the past five years, reviewing the company's fields of work in Egypt, including smart city management, building management, oil and gas, deepening local industrialization, and cadre training.
 
He pointed out that Honeywell looks forward to working with Egypt on providing innovative technological solution when it plays host to the UN COP27 next year. He suggested many areas for future cooperation, including those connected with sustainability, environmental conservation, plastic recycling and Honeywell green jet fuel.
 
Meantime, Cohen noted deepening Egypt's cooperation with Honeywell will positively affect the strategic relations between the US and Egypt, saying the American company has more to give to the Egyptian market.
