Trade exchange bet. Egypt, Bahrain hits $552M in 7 months

CAIRO - 8 December 2021: Trade exchange between Egypt, Bahrain recorded $552 million during the first 7 months of 2021, according to the Egyptian Minister of Industry, Nevine Gamea.
 

Gamea added that as the most important items of trade exchange include vegetables, fruits, electrical appliances, iron, steel, aluminum and plastics.
 

The Egyptian minister indicated in a statement that the Kingdom of Bahrain ranks 16th in the list of countries investing in the Egyptian market, as it contributes to investment projects with a capital of $3.286 billion  in 216 projects in the sectors of finance, construction, industry, agriculture, tourism, services, communications and information technology.

 

This came during a session of talks held with Zayed bin Rashid Al Zayani, Bahraini Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, and his accompanying delegation, which dealt with a number of files of economic cooperation between the two countries and issues of common interest. The meeting was attended by Minister, Commercial Commissioner, Yahya Al-Wathiq Billah, Head of Commercial Representation.

 

She said that the Kingdom of Bahrain is one of the most important economic partners of the Egyptian state in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, noting the importance of translating the distinguished relations between Egypt and the Kingdom of Bahrain, leadership and people, into concrete cooperation projects that achieve development and prosperity in both countries, according to a statement.
