CAIRO – 29 June 2021: The Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology signed on Tuesday an MoU with South Korea's Pusan National University for Egyptian students to enroll in a master's program in artificial intelligence within Digital Egypt Builders Initiative (DEBI).

The initiative was launched in 2020 and it is basically as a one-year program offering 1,000 training opportunities for holders of bachelor's degrees in engineering and computer science who studied at any university on Egyptian soil.

Digital Egypt Builders Initiative consists of four specializations that are data science and artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, robotics and automation, and digital arts.

Candidates will also be taught soft skills like communication skills, fundamentals of business administration and entrepreneurship, and English language courses.

The candidates will study master's programs offered by world-class universities in the most modern ICT concentrations without having to move abroad. They will also get certified by international corporates working in the sector.

Candidates can live in dorms, and have access to modern digital labs and sports facilities.

After completing the program, the candidates can get their graduation project funded and executed by a company to become a reality, become part of Egypt's national projects or start their own business.

The candidates will receive four certificates that are a master's degree from an accredited international university, ICT technical certificate, leadership skills certificate, and English language certificate.
