CAIRO - 13 April 2021: First Vice President of South Sudan Riek Machar approved to import pourtly and its products from Egypt, according to Minister of Agriculture Al-Sayed el-Quseir

 

El- Quseir said in a statement, Tuesday, that this comes within the framework of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, to open new foreign markets for Egyptian products, as well as to deepen cooperation between Egypt and the brotherly State of South Sudan.

 

This came after he reviewed the achievements made by Egypt in the field of domestic wealth, which resulted in the animal health organization’s accreditation of 14 areas free of bird flu in Egypt and the approval of 16 other new facilities and the arrival of Egypt to self-sufficiency in pourtly and the start of exporting abroad, which was reinforced by the Minister Agriculture and Food Security in the Republic of South Sudan, after her recent visit to Egypt.

 

Earlier in April, the Minister of Agriculture visited South Sudan to discuss and increase the prospects for agricultural cooperation between the two countries and to provide all aspects of technical support to the brothers in southern Sudan.

 

During the visit, El- Quseir signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish an integrated Egyptian farm for agricultural, animal, pourtly and fish production.
