CAIRO – 16 September 2020: The Libyan National Army (LNA) announced Tuesday the killing of an Egyptian national affiliated with the terrorist ISIS group during a crackdown on Abdel Kafi district in the southern Libyan city of Sabha.

Two IS-affiliated women, Egyptian and Libyan, were also arrested during the crackdown, according to LNA.

The military information division at the LNA said that the Libyan Army units have killed more than seven people during this operation, including two Saudis, after failing to capture them alive, while the third Saudi blew himself up.

The LNA said that the operation has lasted for more than six hours, was executed by the military units at the brigade, and managed to eliminate the terrorist cell.

The Libyan army said that the terrorist elements were hiding and using suicide bombs and mines around the sides. These groups also targeted the units of the armed forces with more than 32 grenades.
