Addressing a parliamentary session to review a bill on State planning, Saeid told MPs the 2014 constitution focuses on the decentralization of services provided by the different local bodies and NGOs.

The government is keen on entrenching sustainable development goals to be able to achieve “inclusive growth and balanced regional development”, which, Saeid stressed, is a major pillar of the Egypt 2030 vision.

The bill suggests establishing a supreme council of planning and sustainable development to be chaired by the Egyptian president with the aim to coordinate efforts among the different bodies concerned to implement the Egypt 2030 vision.
