Minister of Health Hala Zayed attends meeting with members of the Parliament's African Affairs Committee - Egypt Today/Khaled Mashaal

CAIRO, March 19 (MENA) - Health Minister Hala Zayed reviewed, during a cabinet meeting on Thursday, the preventive measures taken against coronavirus in Egypt.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli decided that a work team will be formed in each ministry or governmental body to make sure that the cleaning and sanitizing measures are thoroughly taken.

Zayed said that the number of coronavirus cases reached 157 among Egyptians, in addition to 53 foreigners until Wednesday.

She also reviewed the measures taken to curb the spread of the virus including the quarantine measures and following up the program of those returning from outside the country.

Zayed also pointed out to the cooperation of the Health Ministry with the Armed Forces to implement a sanitization plan to the hotels in the tourist governorates, in addition to sanitizing ports, airports and transport vehicles to guarantee that the coronavirus does not spread.
