Egypt’s Health Ministry to launch 9 medical convoys as part of ‘Haya Karema’

CAIRO – 13 June 2022: Egypt’s Health Ministry to launch nine medical convoys as part of the Presidential initiative Haya Karema [Decent Life] for free detection and treatment in various medical specialties.

The Ministry of Health and Population said Monday that the convoys medical specialties include ‘gynecology, obstetrics, children, nose, ear, orthopedics, surgery, ophthalmology, dental, heart and dermatology, in addition to radiology and analysis services."

The convoys will cover several governorates including “Cairo, Ismailia, Sharkia, Dakahlia, Minya, Beheira, Matrouh, New Valley and the Red Sea”

Earlier in May, The Ministry of Health and Population announced operating 36 medical caravans to remote and low-income areas within Decent Life initiative. 

The Ministry of Health and Population had announced that the number of medical caravans operated in March at "Decent Life" villages and other low-income neighborhoods is 162, providing free services to 207,509 citizens.

In February, the ministry announced offering free medical services and treatment for 110,702 citizens via 82 medical caravans. The ministry elaborated that 15,950 blood tests were conducted and 23,100 health seminars were held to raise the health awareness of citizens.
