CAIRO - 15 March 2022: The Decent Life Foundation announced on Sunday it had established the National Alliance for Civil Development Work (NACDW), which gathers the General Federation of NGOs, all regional and specific federations, and leading civil society organizations.

In a post on its page on Facebook, Decent Life said the door is open for any NGO to join the alliance to serve Egypt's development goals and its Vision 2030, noting the alliance's establishment comes in the implementation of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi's directives to announce 2022 as the year of civil society.

An expanded dialogue had been held with civil society partners in Egypt over the past period to tackle ways of boosting the civil work to the needy segments in light of expanding the presidential initiative of Decent Life to include all governorates, the foundation mentioned.

It pointed out that this important step would contribute to achieving tangible positive results on the ground through effective coordination and setting up a unified database through which the alliance works.

Representatives of Hayah Karima Foundation, Bait Al-Zakat Foundation, Al-Joud Foundation, Al-Orman Charity Association, Egyptian Food Bank, Misr El-Kheir, Magdi Yacoub Heart Foundation, and the National Cancer Institute inked the alliance's charter, along with representatives from the Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services, Baheya Foundation, Ahl Masr Foundation, Life Makers Foundation, Raie Misr Organization, Resala Charity Organisation, Al-Baqyat Al-Salehat Association, the Egyptian Liver Association and Cairo University Hospitals as well as Elaraby Foundation for Social Development, Sonaa El Kheir Foundation, Dr. Mostafa Mahmoud Charity Association, and CARE Egypt Foundation.
