CAIRO – 25 October 2021: Haya Karima initiative has dispensed loans worth L.E.844 million for small and micro enterprises since its launch in 2019.

The loans were provided by the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprise Development Agency, the Local Development Fund, and microfinance companies.  

Haya Karima focuses on bettering the living standards in the Egyptian countryside, affecting millions of inhabitants. It also enhances social security, fairly distributes development gains, provides job opportunities to enhance citizens’ independence and motivates them to improve their own lives.

Adequate housing, healthcare, education, access to government services and financial services, as well as infrastructure are major aspects of the initiative.

The multilayer initiative thus incorporates unique concerted and coordinated efforts by all ministries and government institutions.
