Egypt's Chief of Staff attends air defense mobilization project 'Ahmos 3'

CAIRO – 25 February 2021: Chief of Staff Mohamed Farid attended Wednesday the main phase of the Air Defense's strategic mobilization project "Ahmos 3" held within the combat drills plan for the formations and units of the Egyptian Armed Forces.

The phase began with displaying the preparatory and organizational measures of the mission, including the regulation of cooperation measures among the air defense units.

The chief of staff also checked the line-up of soldiers extending the greetings of Supreme Commander of the Egyptian Armed Forces President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi, and General Commander and Minister of Defense and Military Production Mohamed Zaki.

 

Farid stressed that training is the core of combat competence, and the decisive factor in the success of the forces in accomplishing missions optimally. The commander also praised the level of readiness and the high morale of the air defense elements.

 

The chief of staff discussed with a number of commanders and officers the methods they use to accomplish missions and the duties they are assigned. He also tested them by asking about the decisions/moves they would make in certain tactical situations to verify their ability to make the right decision in the face of sharp and quick variables during the combat.
