CAIRO - 3 July 2017: Iraqi Minister of Water Resources Hassan Janabi arrived on Monday at Cairo International Airport to participate in the meetings of the executive council and the 9th round of the Arab Ministerial Water Council (AMWC).

Earlier, the 15th meeting of the technical, scientific and consultative committee of the AMWC, led by Iraq, started in Cairo.

This comes within the framework of the 9th round of the AMWC, slated for Thursday.

A meeting for the executive council members is expected to be held on Wednesday ahead of the AMWC meeting.

The Arab Water Council (AWC) was launched in 2004, as a regional non-profit organization with activities extended on both regional and international scales.

The AWC mission is to promote deeper understanding and better management of the water resources in the Arab states in a multi-disciplinary, non-political, professional and scientific manner, and to disseminate knowledge.
