CAIRO – 4 February 2021: South Korean ambassador to Egypt Hong Jin-Wook invited Speaker of the Egyptian Senate Abdel-Wahab Abdel-Razeq to visit Korea, delivering him a congratulation letter from Park Byeong-Seug, Speaker of the Korean Parliament on assuming the new position as the first Speaker of the Senate under the President Sisi's era.
 
Ambassador Hong Jin-Wook paid a visit to Abdel-Wahab Abdel-Razeq on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021, discussing ways to promote and deepen bilateral parliamentary cooperation between the two countries, according to a press release from the South Korean embassy in Cairo.
 
“In the meantime, Amb. Hong expressed his hope for H.E Abdel-Wahab Abdel-Razek, as the speaker of the Senate, to play a vital role to develop the bilateral relations between the two countries,” the statement said.
 
 Abdel-Wahab Abdel-Razek expressed his gratitude for Hong’s visit to the senate and his hope to deepen the existing mutual relations including parliamentary cooperation between the two countries.  
 
The Egyptian Speaker of the Senate expressed his willingness to visit Korea and mentioned that Egypt would welcome the Korean parliament speaker’s visit to Egypt in the future, the statement continued.
 
“Hong called the Egyptian Senate and Parliament to support Korean companies operating in Egypt. H.E. Abdel-Razeq expressed that the Korean companies in Egypt are already successful and enlarging their existence in Egypt and he hoped that more Korean companies could be encouraged to come to Egypt based on the existing successful experiences of Korean companies,” it added.
