CAIRO – 3 February 2021: Authorities at Cairo International Airport will start suspending flights to Saudi Arabia as of Wednesday night, in accordance with a recent decision by Saudi Arabia.

The Kingdom temporarily suspended flights coming from 20 countries around the world, including Egypt, as part of its precautionary measures to combat Coronavirus pandemic.

The travelers who are suspended from entering the Kingdom include non-Saudis, diplomats, medical personnel and their families.

EgyptAir stated that flights dedicated to bring suspended Egyptian nationals from Saudi Arabia will continue even during the Saudi flight ban. The company has further called on all travelers to Saudi Arabia review their bookings after the new decision.

The time in which Saudi decision to suspend flights will be retracted is still unknown.
