CAIRO - 29 January 2021: The cabinet media center denied some reports circulated about halting navigation in the Suez Canal as a result of a collision between two ships.

The cabinet said in a report Friday that it has contacted the Suez Canal Authority, which totally dismissed such reports and stressed that navigation movement in the international waterway is regular and no collision whatsoever has occurred.

The Suez Canal Authority said it is always taking all preparations for any possible emergencies in the Suez Canal.

It also urged all media outlets and social media users to verify the authenticity of any news published.
