CAIRO – 20 January 2021: EgyptAir said travelers to Jordan are required to have a negative COVID test (PCR) taken within three days prior to departure, with this decision being effective as of Wednesday.

Travelers are also required to have an insurance certificate that covers expenses of COVID-19 treatment through downloading Aman application to follow up on the travelers’ health status ahead of arrive in Jordan.  

In a press statement on Wednesday, EgyptAir added that on travelers’ arrival in Jordan, they will be required to undergo an additional COVID test, the cost of which will be collected from each passenger ahead of their flight boarding. This announcement comes in light of the instructions issued by the Jordanian authorities. Children aged below five years old or passengers holding QR code of their COVID examination result, will be exempted from the test.
