CAIRO – 19 January 2021: Spokesperson of the New Administrative Capital (NAC) Khaled al-Husseiny stated in a phone-in Tuesday that the progress rate of the governmental neighborhood has reached 90 percent.

 

The ministries, parliament, and governmental agencies are moving to the New Capital by June 30 transferring 40,000 employees who are granted residencies in Badr City lying few kilometers from their work location.

 

The first phase of the New Capital is about developing 40,000 feddans to house two million citizens. Launched in 2017, it has been accomplished by 70 percent, and is planned to be completed in 2-3 years.

 

Husseiny added that the project raised the value of the land for that the price of the square meter jumped from LE50 to LE50,000 in some areas of the New Capital.
