CAIRO - 5 January 2020: Egypt's cabinet headed by Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli reviewed on Tuesday an initiative to reduce domestic flight tickets to encourage local tourism.

Themed “Spend Winter in Egypt”, the initiative should go into effect as of Friday, January 15 and will last until Sunday, February 28.

The initiative is meant to support the tourism sector in Egypt through promoting domestic travel across the country.

It was also agreed that hotels offer encouraging prices to promote travel to the different tourist destinations.
