CAIRO - 5 January 2020: Health Minister Hala Zayed has announced that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s initiative to follow up self-isolation cases of coronavirus is set to kick off on Wednesday under the "100 million health" campaign.

The minister made her statements at a press conference held on Monday to review the electronic system to follow up the supplies and consumption of oxygen in all hospitals nationwide.

She detailed that the initiative is part of the ministry’s keenness to save the lives of all Covid-19 cases.

The initiative will be put into effect as of Wednesday to follow up minor clinical cases of self-isolation patients, whether those whose cases were examined in hospitals or by their own physicians.

The initiative also aims to provide health services for patients, including the measurement of oxygen saturation and body temperature with the follow-up of patients’ health developments through 5,400 health units and medical centers.

Medical teams will also periodically follow up cases at home and register all data of patients electronically with the adoption of preventive measures, while any cases that may suffer any complications will be hospitalized.

The minister has extended thanks to companies that supplied oxygen to hospitals to help overcome the coronavirus crisis and meet all needs of the health sector.
