CAIRO – 31 December 2020: The Egyptian cabinet announced Thursday postponing all exams, in order to be held after the mid-year vacation. This comes amid repercussions in the number of Coronavirus infection rates, and will be applied to all types and levels of education.

Egyptian President Abdel Fatah has directed that the mid-year vacation to start from January 16 until February 20.

Sisi further directed that study continues remotely from home during the coming two weeks, starting from the January 2.

The cabinet’s remarks came amid fears of the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, and in response to a proposal submitted by the ministries of higher education, scientific research and technical education to complete teaching the rest of the curriculum remotely starting from next Saturday and until the end of the first semester of 2020/2021 academic year.
