At a press conference before taking off from Tel Aviv to Rabat on a flight carrying a delegation of US and Israeli officials, he added that he paid a similar visit two months ago between Tel Aviv and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

He expressed hope that the peace treaty between Morocco and Israel would enhance bilateral relations as was the case with the UAE.

He further noted that President Donald Trump has tried over the past few months to create a new policy in the Middle East through narrowing the gap among peoples in the region.

Over the past 75 years, there were difficulties that prevented any reconciliation between Muslims and Jews but such peace agreements would be a start for restoring coexistence and establishing security and stability in the world, he added.
