Egypt offers condolences to Algeria over victims of military plane crash

CAIRO – 17 December 2020: Egypt expressed its sincere condolences to the government and people of the People's of Algeria over the victims of a military helicopter crash that caused the death of three Algerian military brethren, said the Egyptian Foreign Ministry in a statement on Thursday.
 
“Egypt also affirms that it stands with sisterly Algeria in this painful incident, and offers its deepest condolences and sympathies to the families of the victims and the Algerian army,” the statement read.
 
On Wednesday morning, a military helicopter crashed in the Mediterranean Sea, killing a lieutenant while two pilots remain missing, according to a statement from the Algerian Ministry of Defense.
