CAIRO – 15 December 2020: The Red Sea Ports announced the closure of Sharm el-Sheikh seaport due to bad weather conditions and the high intensive wind expected.

 

All marine activities on small and large marine units were halted to maintain safe maritime navigation.

 

Level of readiness of operation rooms were raised, while necessary precautionary measures were taken at the port’s entrances and exits, while keeping a track of the climate map.

 

The official weather forecast authority warned of unstable weather with temperature degrees increasing and decreasing consequently during the past days, with the wave expected to end on Wednesday. Rainfall accompanied with thunder is expected in some parts of the northern coast and Upper Egypt.
