CAIRO – 15 December 2020: A 13-year old boy, known in the media as the “Traffic child” after he assaulted a policeman while driving a car, has tested positive to drug (Hashish) abuse.

The Central Department of Chemical Laboratories at the Forensic Medicine Authority showed the results of the examination of the accused boy, revealing that he abuses Hashish.

The prosecution had ordered to refer the boy, three other children and an adult to Misdemeanor Court and Child Criminal Court to be punished over drug possession, insulting a police man, driving a car with a driving license, in addition to referring the car’s owner to a Misdemeanor court over allowing a young boy to drive it.

The boy’s incident has triggered social media anger after a video went viral showing him driving a car, and assaulting a policeman who tried to stop him.
