The two sides stressed the importance of activating the memorandum of understanding (MoU), which was signed by the two countries in 2019, aiming to promote tourism sector through exchanging expertise amid Covid-19 pandemic challenges, according to a statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During the meeting, both sides agreed the technical committee between Egypt and Bulgaria should hold meeting as soon as possible to adopt a work plan, to encourage tourism in the coming period, the ministry added.

The Bulgarian official said the deputy prime minister and tourism minister in Bulgaria is looking forward to visiting Egypt next year to boost cooperation in this vital sector.
