CAIRO – 9 November 2020: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi expressed appreciation for cooperation with France’s Naval Group, specialized in the fields of maritime defense and building ships, during his 2-day visit for France.

On Wednesday, President Sisi received Pierre Eric Pommelle the Chairman of Naval Group at his residence in Paris.

He further confirmed that the military units manufactured by Naval Group “are an addition to the process of modernizing the Egyptian Navy,” said Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady.

Pommelle also said that “Naval is keen on promoting cooperation with Egypt as one of the most important partners for his company in the world.”

President Sisi arrived Sunday in Paris, and met on Monday with his French Counterpart Emanuel Macron, where both leaders discussed bilateral relations, and different international issues of common interest.
