CAIRO – 1 December 2020: The Egyptian Armed Forces Operations Authority conducted a research project titled "Proposed Strategy to Activate the Egyptian Role in Nile Basin Countries in Light of Regional and International Variables."

 

 

A presentation on the research was held Tuesday, and attended by Minister of Defense and Military Production Mohamed Zaki, Chief of Staff Mohamed Farid, commanders of the main branches, a number of senior commanders, strategic experts and students at military schools and colleges.

 

The project was carried out by top strategic experts and researchers in the field of national security, and who are affiliated to various branches at the Egyptian Armed Forces.

 

The paper discusses the strategic importance of the Nile Basin countries and Egypt's water needs. The research puts forward recommendations to put into effect suggested mechanisms that would achieve strategic cooperation with states of interest to Egypt.

 

Minister Zaki delivered the greetings of President Abdel Fatah al-Sisi to the researchers who took part in the project praising the effort deployed to contribute in coming up with a strategy that achieves the interests of the homeland.
