Egypt detects 370 new coronavirus cases, 14 deaths

CAIRO - 1 December 2020: Egypt's Health Ministry said in a Sunday statement that 370 new coronavirus cases were detected, upping the total number of confirmed cases to 115,911.


Spokesman for the Health Ministry Khaled Megahed said 14 patients have died from the virus over the past 24 hours, raising the death toll to 6,650.



As many as 122 patients were discharged from isolation hospitals after receiving necessary medical care, taking the number of recovered cases to 102,718 so far, the spokesman said. 

 

A few days ago, the Ministry said that the ministry plans to start a new production line to manufacture the COVID-19 vaccine it’s proven effective.

 

“We plan to cooperate with the World Health Organization and the Sinovac Manufacturing Company as soon as the final results of the Chinese vaccine appear,” according to a statement by the ministry.
