In a meeting with Governor of Khartoum State Ayman Khaled Wednesday, the Egyptian ambassador said the meeting constitutes a major turning point towards bilateral cooperation, vowing to pursue ahead with fostering cooperation and continued contact between Cairo and Khartoum State.

In a statement issued by Khartoum State, the governor of the state said the Interim government will continue consultations and coordination with the Egyptian side in a way that would serve both peoples' interests.

Khartoum governor said Egypt and Sudan's stability is a key pillar that guarantees stability of the entire region, accentuating the necessity of exchanging Egyptian-Sudanese expertise in the various domains, with a view to benefiting from the Egyptian expertise in the education, training, rehabilitation, culture exchange, infrastructure and the environmental health spheres, the statement added.
