CAIRO - 16 November 2020: The Supreme Administrative Court has received 68 appeals ont he results of the second phase of the House of Representatives election, which the National Election Authority (NEA) announced Sunday.
 
The court must adjudicate on the challenges before Nov. 16, when the campaigns of the second phase of the election will kick of.
 
The National List coalition won by landslide in the first and third constituencies with a voter turnout of 29.5 percent in the first phase of the House of Representatives election.
 
The NEA said there will be arunoff in some constituencies of 14 governorates, including six constituencies in Cairo alone.
 
Complaints received during the elections did not constitute a significant impact on the electoral process, the NEA said.
 
Appeals on the results of the second phase can be submitted on Nov. 17 and courts have only 10 days to adjudicate on the cases. 
 
Egyptians abroad can vote in the runoff of the first phase by printing their ballots on Nov.19-20 from the NEA website and mailing them to the designated Egyptian embassies or consulates Nov.21-24. 
 
Locally, Egyptians will vote in the runoff of the first phase on Nov.23-24.
