CAIRO – 12 November 2020: During his visit to Athens, Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met on Thursday with Greek former Prime Minister and left-wing leader Syriza Party Alexis Tsipras, said Egyptian Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi in a statement.

 

President Sisi expressed his appreciation to strong cooperation relations that have been deepened between both countries recently in several fields, Radi added.

 

The President expressed Egypt’s keenness to bilateral coordination in the latest regional developments, Radi continued.

 

Also, both sides tackled the Libyan crisis and the latest developments in the Eastern Mediterranean.

 

Tsipras welcomed the effective and mutual relations with Egypt, in light of the pivotal role that Egypt plays in the Middle East and Eastern Mediterranean regions.
