CAIRO – 4 November 2020: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has directed officials to start implementing the multistorey car park system, to integrate with the new road and bridge networks and help reduce traffic congestion, the Presidency said.

 

This came in a meeting with Presidential Advisor for Urban Planning Amir Sayed Ahmed and Head of the Egyptian Armed Forces’ Engineering Authority Ehab El Far.

 

During the meeting, the president reviewed the executive status of some of the Engineering Authority’s construction projects nationwide.

 

Sisi reviewed the workflow in the diplomatic district in the New Administrative Capital, which houses embassies and international organizations in Cairo, as well as axes linking it with all districts of Greater Cairo.

 

He also reviewed the executive steps taken to develop the network of roads and axes nationwide and urged continuing these efforts, which constitute one of the most important components of the essential infrastructure.

 

The meeting reviewed developments of the international project, which titled Marabet Misr [Egypt’s Stud Farm] to raise Egyptian-Arabian stallions.

 

Assistant director of the Armed Forces projects department Akmal Shawky, head of the Engineering Authority’s consultation office Khaled Mubarak and head of construction department of the Engineering Authority’s consultation office Sherif Abdel Aziz also attended the meeting.
