CAIRO - 2 November 2020: The Public Prosecution ordered on Sunday that a defendant be remanded in custody for four days pending investigations on charges of deliberately killing a Sudanese child.

The investigations revealed that the defendant confessed that he had killed the child in revenge for a financial dispute between him and the victim's father, the prosecutor general's office said in a statement.

The defendant also confessed that he used a knife to kill the child, guiding the police towards its place.

The prosecution stressed that it would take all the legal procedures without discrimination to confront all kinds of violations against Egyptians or foreigners, warning of any attempt to marginalize the rights of refugees and foreigners here.
