CAIRO – 19 October 2020: Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry on Monday expressed Egypt’s appreciation of Serbia’s decision to resume flights to Egypt, given efforts made by the Egyptian ministries to ensure the safety of tourists, as he made a phone call with his Serbian counterpart.

Egypt’s Shoukry and Serbia’s Ivica Dacic also discussed a number of regional issues. They reviewed the regional situation in the Middle East and the Egyptian vision aiming at resolving the current crises and restoring stability to people in the region.

In this regard, the ministers affirmed the need to reach a peaceful solution and a permanent settlement that guarantee the rights of the Palestinian people, in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab peace initiative, to achieve security and stability in the region.

Dacic posted Shoukry on a US-sponsored economic normalization between Serbia and Kosovo.
