CAIRO - 18 October 2020: President Abdel Fattah El Sisi directed the government to expand the mechanization services at the interior ministry's newly established buildings to ensure their integration with the new cities under-construction nationwide.

Sisi made his directives on Saturday during a meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, Interior Minister Mahmoud Tawfik, Presidential Adviser for Urban Planning Maj. Gen. Amir Sayed Ahmed, Presidential Adviser on Financial Affairs Mohamed Amin Nasr and Head of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority Ehab El-Far.

The meeting discussed a special plan for rehabilitating and improving the ministry's facilities, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said.

Sisi asserted the need to make the utmost use of the new road infrastructure to facilitate traffic flow between the ministry's buildings to reinforce the presence of security forces all across the state.

The president added that these buildings should also serve as integrated service centres.

Meanwhile, Tawfik briefed the president on the ministry's strategy to improve its buildings and relocate them outside populated areas to ensure earlier intervention and faster deployment of police forces.
