The first lady affirmed that the exhibition comes in line with the strategic importance of the small and micro enterprises in providing job opportunities and securing a source of income for women.

She affirmed the Egyptian women’s capability to work in all fields, especially in handicrafts manufacturing in all governorates and villages.

“Preserving the traditional crafts [manufacturing] is preserving the culture, identity and ancient history of the Egyptian nation, especially in the countryside, Upper Egypt and the border governorates,” Amer said.

“I assure … the state will continue its constant endeavor to provide all aspects of support to the owners of these projects, especially the support directed to the women of Egypt, due to their effective role in social and economic growth,” she added.
