CAIRO – 2 October 2020: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah on Friday wished US President Donald Trump and the first lady, Melania, a speedy recovery after they tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19), in order to “continue … the fight against the virus”.

I hope “they overcome this stage quickly and restore full health and wellness to continue leading the appreciated efforts of the United States to work on combating this virus worldwide for the benefit of all humanity”.

“May God protect our peoples and all peoples of the world ".

Trump said on Thursday he and the first lady would go into quarantine as they await test results after an aide had tested positive for the new virus.

“Hope Hicks, who has been working so hard without even taking a small break, has just tested positive for Covid-19,” Trump said on Twitter.

“Terrible! The First Lady and I are waiting for our test results. In the meantime, we will begin our quarantine process!”

The US has so far reported almost 7.5 million coronavirus cases and more than 212,600 deaths.
