CAIRO  27 September 2020: Egypt called upon both Armenia and Azerbaijan to practice self-restraint and de-escalate the clashes between them over the disputed Nagorno-Karabakh region, according to a statement from the Egyptian Foreign Ministry on Sunday.

Egypt urges “all parties to engage in dialogue in order to reach a settlement by peaceful means in accordance with the international legitimacy resolutions, within the framework of the "Minsk" group, which is affiliated to the Organization for Security and Co‑operation in Europe,” the statement said.

Armenia and Azerbaijan clashed on Sunday over the disputed region. Armenia launched an attack and announced martial laws and military mobilization, while Azerbaijan announced that it responded to an attack by Armenia, BBC reported. The recent clashes have erupted since July 12.
